Architects, like myself, contribute to society in many ways. First of all, they give people the ability to makes their dreams reality. Some one who always wanted their “dream house” or just a house of there own, may not have had the skills or creativity necessary to make that possible. Architects provide these skills for them so all they have to do is pay the price, and their dreams could come true. Architects also contribute to society because they help build big corporate buildings and other important. Without architects, these buildings may not exist, and companies would probably have less employees because of space. We also contribute to society because we make sure that buildings and houses are safe for people to live in. If someone constructed a house or building by themselves with no education or experience, then the building could collapse, or be more likely to be damaged by weather. For example, I had a customer, with little education about architecture, who tried building their house on their own. They did not put a foundation in. They lived in Kansas. Can you see where this is going? A tornado came and swept their house right off the ground. Luckily they were on vacation when it happened, but boy did they have a welcome home surprise for them! That is how architects contribute to society.

If a tornado or something came then there would be nothing from stopping your house from blowing away, and you would have no basement.=P

As a fellow architect I think you have a lot of insight on architecture.
